About the Noosa Classic
The 2023 Noosa Classic has been postponed. Future dates are yet to be confirmed.
The Noosa Classic is a road cycling event that takes in the beautiful Noosa Hinterland and surrounds. The ride incorporates three routes, extending from Tewantin to Cooroy, Ponoma Imbil, Kandanga, Cooran, Kin Kin, Cootharaba and Cooroibah.
The centre of activity on the day will be the Noosa Classic Event Village at Sir Thomas Riley Park (within Noosa District Sports Complex), Tewantin. Please come along and cheer the riders as they cross the Finish Line during the day.
The Event Village will be open from 10:00am-4:00pm and will include live music, market stalls, children’s activities a cycling exhibitors and more.
Riders from all over Australia have registered for the event. Many will be staying in Noosa over the weekend boosting tourism and bringing considerable economic benefits to the local region.

When is it?

This event includes three courses, the 160KM Maxi Classic, the 120KM Challenge Classic, and the 65KM Rouleurs Classic.
The rides start at Sir Thomas Riley Park, Tewantin between 6:30am and 7:45am.
The first riders will return back to Sir Thomas Riley Park from 8:45am. The last riders are expected to cross the Finish Line around 3.30pm.
Noosa Classic Event Village
The Noosa Classic Event Village is located at Sir Thomas Riley Park (within Noosa District Sports Complex), 31 Butler St, Tewantin QLD 4565.
Saturday
Open: 1:00pm to 4:00pm
What: Kit collection and event information. Bike mechanics will be available for basic repairs. A number of sponsor stalls, a coffee van and food stall will also be open.
Sunday
Open: 10:00am to 4:00pm
What: The Event Village will be a lively centre of activity and entertainment as riders cross the Finish Line during the day. All welcome!

Event Village parking
Riders are advised to park at suggested parking areas located near the following district associations: Noosa District Netball Association, Noosa District Softball Association, Noosa Cricket Club and the Noosa Touch Association. There is no parking within Noosa District Sports Complex on event day.

Marshalls will direct motorists to parking spaces.
Start Line
Cheer on cyclists as they depart the Start Line between 6:30am and 7:45am.
The Start Line is located at Sir Thomas Riley Park within Noosa District Sports Complex, 31 Butler St, Tewantin.
6:30am- 6:50am: 160KM Maxi Classic riders cross the start line and head south-west on Butler St / Noosa Cooroy Rd.
7:00am to 7:20am: 65KM Rouleurs Classic riders cross the start line and head south-west on Butler St / Noosa Cooroy Rd.
7:30am to 7:50am: 120KM Challenge Classic riders cross the start line and head south-west on Butler St / Noosa Cooroy Rd.
Finish Line
Riders will cross the Finish Line in Sir Thomas Riley Park (within Noosa District Sports Complex), Tewantin between 8:45am and 3:30pm.
Cheer them on with your free Noosa Classic bell!
The Finish Line is located adjacent to the Event Village.
Road closures
ROAD CLOSURES
The 2023 Noosa Classic has been postponed. Future dates are yet to be confirmed.
Where: Butler St, Tewantin between Poinciana st and McKinnon Dr /Cullinane St
When: Sunday from 6:00am – 4:00pm
Why: Butler St will be closed for the Noosa Classic Cycling event. This closure will allow the riders to safely enter and exit the finish line, located in Sir Riley Thomas Park at the Noosa Pirates Rugby League complex.
Where: Gyndier Drive, Tewantin
When: Sunday from 6:00am – 8:30am
Why: This closure will allow the riders to safely ride up Gyndier Drive
If you are driving on any of the roads which are being used for the event, please ensure that you take care and be watchful for cyclists.
Police will be patrolling the course throughout the day to ensure cyclists and motorists observe all road rules.
Cycle routes
160KM and 120KM courses
Riders on the 160KM and 120KM courses will start between 6.30 and 7.30am and head south-west on Cooroy Noosa Rd, then Gyndler Dr. They will proceed to Tinbeerwah and Cooroy.
Riders on the 120KM course will divert north on Kenilworth Skyring Creek Rd to Carters Ridge, while 160KM riders will continue on to Brooloo, Imbil and Kandanga.
The courses will merge again near Tuchekoi and continue on to Pinbarren, Cooran, Kin Kin and Cootharaba. Riders will return to Tewantin via McKinnon Drive, finishing at Sir Thomas Riley Park (within Noosa District Sports Complex) between 10.30am and 4pm.
65KM Course
Rouleurs Classic offers riders the Hinterland experience of a beautiful ride that is not with out the challenge of a climb, with the Rouleurs taking on the famous Black Mountain! Riders will then head back to the beautiful town of Pomona for a chance to re-fuel before the home stretch begins back to the Event Village.

Parking: You can park in the carpark off Cooroy-Noosa Rd. There is no allocated seating but there are cleared roadway shoulders to stand on. Please remain off the road while riders pass.
You will need to arrive early to park and walk up the road to get in position. This road is permanently closed to all traffic.
NO Spectating Areas
PLEASE DO NOT SPECTATE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS/ ROADS DUE TO NARROW AND BUSY ROADS.
Any extra cars on course will affect the riders on course. For safety reasons, please stay off the roads associated with the event.
